Found this a while back. It is an excellent song by Molly Scaggs, daughter of Ricky Scaggs. She’s a talented musician in great company with the Uncaged Birds band.

Yes, they also produced “Raise a Hallelujah”.  In fact, I found that song while looking for more from Molly.

Update for Sat July 25

For the one and a half persons who may have noticed, I have not been posting much lately. This is due to some changes in my personal life. Nothing dramatic but time consuming. In addition to this I simply have not felt particularly “inspired” lately.

Long story short, as my minuscule contribution to the abundance of thought about current events seems largely unnoticed, I doubt if even this post is necessary. In any case, I’ll post when I get the urge and not before… except maybe for tomorrow’s video.

Meanwhile I removed Liberty Hosting and will no longer offer cheap hosting. Strangely enough conservative blogs still regularly get dumped by our elite betters who run the free hosting schemes. But ya know what? Anyone who is too cheap to cough up one buck a month for hosting rather deserves what they get when the rug is pulled out. They say there is a price to pay for freedom. I have to agree.

By the way, if anyone cares, Patriotnewswire.net is next on the chopping block. It was an interesting experiment that turned out to be hugely unwanted. The domain registration is up  in another month. I do not see the point in renewing it.

The Full Force and Fury of the Leftist Radicals – WHAT? Me Worry?

Do not be fooled – they are communists… pure unadulterated Marxists. They are here in our nation and bent on taking it down. None of this is new. None of this should surprise anyone. What may be a shock is the sudden realization that today, right here in the United States of America the Marxists have unleashed their “Tet Offensive” against us – aided and abetted by our “own” representatives and corporate America. Strong words you say? Yes.

My words are fully document able – not by any “extensive research” on my part. Not at all. ALL I needed to come to this conclusion was read the headlines, a few articles by established and well-trusted authors and THINK.

One such article is published on The American Spectator. Many of the details laid out in this article have already been heavily established by other well-respected publishers. Such as “Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrice Cullors repeatedly says ‘We are trained Marxists‘.” If this is the first time you’ve seen this quote, you need to crawl out from under that rock. Another reference in this article is a video interview published long ago by G. Edward Griffin with a Soviet defector and former KGB operative named Yuri Bezmenov.

I am familiar enough with this interview that I didn’t need to see it again. I know exactly what he said and how relevant his words are today. Maybe this quote will ring familiar to some of you:

“[T]he useful idiots, the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of the Soviet socialist or Communist or whatever system, when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher. […] They serve a purpose only at the stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in the United States: all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders. They are instrumental in the process of the subversion only to destabilize a nation. When their job is completed, they are not needed any more. They know too much. Yeah. That’s right – ol’ Yuri is the guy who made the phrase “useful idiots” famous. Is that bell ringing yet? So why is this relevant today? Look around you. This from Seattle:

This is not an isolated concept by any means. Surely you’ve heard repeated calls for “reparations” for decedents of former slaves.

So… should you be worried? No. Not in my opinion. Here’s why..

My trust is in God Almighty. In an ideal situation Christians in this nation would turn to Him – individually and in groups and such would put a stop to all this in very short order. Even if I am the “only one” turning to God – I assure you I am not – God is faithful to honor my pleas. So what if the worst happens and I end up somewhere I really do not want to be? I remain faithful. Consider the journey of Joseph. He was sold as a slave. He bounced back again and again until eventually he was counted only second to Pharaoh himself. Sometimes things looked pretty bleak but Joseph never lost sight of God. The same goes for Daniel. And David. Scripture is filled with examples of this lesson. Focus on God.

Lately I’ve been reading Psalm 37… a LOT. It is an amazing, inspiring Psalm. No doubt you’ve stumbled across parts of it yourself such as…

“Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth;”

While this is a great quote, when taken in context, it is even better:

Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

WOW! This entire Psalm bursts with such thoughts! Right on the heels of this passage there is another shouting out to my ears:

Psalms 37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

Look closely at Verse 15 “Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.”

Have I not said nearly the same thing? Give credit and glory to God, as it is from HIS Word where anything worthwhile I say comes from. How else can I so confidently say the house of cards the leftist radicals have built MUST come tumbling down?! The underlying principles come from God Almighty and because they are principles they must apply in every relevant circumstance.

We must be and remain faithful. God will not turn His back on us but if we turn our back on Him, He may withhold help from us. This is why I do not worry. This is why I will not fear.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

The Heart of Last Sunday’s Home Service

We’ve been have church in our home for some years now – long before this current pandemic nonsense. The reasons are varied but for us, for now, it just makes sense. Sometimes I teach, more often lately, I’ve had “guest speakers” via videos teaching. This last Sunday was a bit different. I found the two videos below and strongly felt the need to share it. I still do. This is powerful stuff.

 

While the response to this family’s need was widespread, it began from a local church community. From what I can see from this church is is patterned much like one of my favorite churches my family ever attended. The appear to be a tight-knit group with a central commonality – Christ.

Why The FIRST Amendment Secures Freedom of Speech

Sometimes it takes me a while to catch on, even to the simplest concepts. For years whenever I considered the First Amendment to our Constitution, I mostly wondered why our right to keep and bear arms came second. Only recently did it dawn on me why our freedom of speech is enumerated before our right to defend ourselves and our nation.

First take note: freedom of religion is at the very TOP of the list and rightfully so. One can argue till the end of eternity, if one was to believe in such, about whether the founding fathers truly believed in God Almighty or what they believed. No matter what else one can say, it is indisputable where they placed the words “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”. Here is the First Amendment in its entirety:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Freedom of speech comes second, followed by freedom of the press (i.e. the right to PUBLISH ones words). As for the final two: “or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” one may wonder if these should be rendered collectively or individually. Why not both? I see no reason to insist one activity be dependent on the other.

Please understand, I am in no way saying the order of our declared rights specifies any inherent ranking. That said, could there be some sort of “divine design” in how these are ordered?

As a Christian, I am obligated to put God first and foremost in my life – or at least make every effort to do so. Fallible as I am, I cannot count how many times I’ve missed this mark. Even so, acknowledging God Almighty is most important to me. I fully believe this is important to God Himself also. So take it as you will. After all you have every right to believe or not, but I see an incredible divine logic in the placement of the very first declared right.

Coming back to our freedom of speech, has anyone else ever wondered why the founders considered this so important? For me, this goes far beyond the simple freedom to speak one’s mind or to write one’s thoughts. It goes deeper than this – way deeper. How so?

Think about it – what is speech but the formation of words and what are words but the expression of thoughts and ideas? Dig deeper. This is basic. It delves into the very nature of human existence. It is what rises us up to the top of all earthly life and sets us apart from every other living thing.

Words. Thoughts. Ideas. Along with the capacity to express them, the very ability to form them are crucial to our lives. Ideas are far more powerful than any weapon conceived by mankind. Our nation was established by them. Wars are always fought because of them. All of our lives… our very existence centers around the words we think, say and act upon.

The most feared weapon in the world is not the “Bomb” – it is the TRUTH! It is the bell that cannot be unrung. This is why the controllers and their media minions first attack all truth with lies, then move to silence all who oppose them. They know their falsehoods cannot stand against truth. They know once they are exposed for the frauds they are they cannot easily regain the trust they gambled. This is why they are determined to shut down all dissidence. This is why our freedom of speech is prominently included in the FIRST amendment!

This truth reveals another potent truth – words are powerful. Scripture is called The Word of God. Our Constitution consists of words. A picture may say 1,000 words, but a few words, properly crafted into a meaningful phrase can change the world. Consider the following words:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Those of you who believe know exactly how powerful these words are. Those who reject them shall one day find out.

First Amendment or not, our freedom to worship God Almighty, our freedom of speech is not something granted by men. Nor can mere men take these away. They do not have such authority! No matter what happens in this nation, no matter what nation you are a citizen or subject of, your freedom is granted to you by a Holy God in Heaven. You need not ask permission.

In this nation, these United States, the controllers will attempt to shut down anyone who speaks the truth. They already ARE doing this and making inroads. Speak the truth – this will overwhelm them. They cannot stand against a Holy God. They are powerless against the truth. The controllers know this and this is why they are making every effort to eradicate our First Amendment rights. No matter what happens God will have the final say. It is written.

What Did HE Know – When Did HE Know It?

Most likely the first question on your mind is who is “HE”? Answering this should make the answer to these questions themselves self-evident…

The “HE” I speak of is God Himself, thus HE knows everything and has always known it!

Those who believe in God agree He is omniscient – all knowing. This is somewhat confirmed in Ephesians 1:4-6

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In order to say this, God would have to have knowledge predating the existence of every person before and since this was written at the very least. From this scripture alone I can extrapolate the idea that He knows all about current and future events. No one and nothing is hidden from Him. There is no “pulling the wool” over HIS eyes! What does this mean to us in the hear and now?

The best thing any of us can do is trust in Him.

Nobody on this planet could have predicted 2020 and yet God Almighty KNOWS not only what is going on now – he knew it would happen this way and HE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. What does all this mean? He doesn’t care? We are stuck? We have no choice? None of the above.

Consider any recent show you watched. Tell me the main character made some foolish choice. I don’t know about you but I tend to yell at the screen. “Don’t pick that murder weapon up!” “Do go in there!” Why? Because I can predict what will happen and so can you. It is all part of the drama. We also know what would happen if our urgings were followed – better outcomes. Yet, there they go! Doing exactly the opposite of what they should and… don’tchaknowit they got into trouble.

Of course in drama, the script is written and all goes according to the script. There is no changing anything. However life is not scripted. The scenes are set but the choices are ours. Our lives are more like an interactive story than a movie. The outcome depends on the choices we make. Our Heavenly Father already knows what these choices will be and how it all turns out and yes, sometimes He DOES intervene. I do not know the hows, whys or rules for Godly intervention. I just know it happens.

All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players;”

While I often do not always know if what I am doing is exactly what my Heavenly Father wants from me, I DO know I am here for a reason. God does nothing without purpose. And I know no matter how badly I miss the mark – God Almighty knows this too… and HE has my back. This is why I keep going even when I’m wondering if ANYBODY actually even reads anything I write, much less acts upon it. For all I know every ripple I cause is overwhelmed by someone else’s big splash. It doesn’t matter. As long as I feel I’m doing what my Heavenly Father either wants or allows me to do… I’ll do it. My part in all of this may be just the guy in the back washing dishes. Nobody really sees him but you can hear him doing his part. So be it. God knows. And He knows I continually ask to do His Will. This is foremost in my prayers. In the absence of any absolute clarity on His Will, I will do what I feel is best. I can do no more. What about you?

In a future article I intend to explore more of what I’ve learned about God’s Will in my life. Here’s a hint. The deeper I get the more I realize the most important things are the simplest… and often the hardest.

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

You’ll find a wealth of instruction on doing God’s Will in this chapter of Galatians. As a matter of fact, scripture is filled with it. We tend to wring our hands trying to determine if God wants us do one thing or another while ignoring the simplest concepts.

This same idea goes for the plight of our nation – our Constitutional Republic. We’ve worked ourselves into a frenzy about this party or that, this candidate for such and such an office vs another candidate. All the while we overlook the basic facts. We ARE citizens endowed with the power and authority to govern ourselves. This power and authority comes from God Almighty Himself. With this comes stewardship – the responsibility to actually participate and oversee the structures put in place to handle day to day operations and steer them away from things government has no business in.

We’ve taken the simple building blocks handed to us and have built a monstrous behemoth that threatens to engulf us all. The result is chaos and confusion, with lots of help from the controllers we’ve allowed to assert themselves and profit from our own negligence.

Now there are riots and a near total disregard for any rule of law. This should come as no surprise – the basic rule of law – our constitution – has long been washed over with things like “public policy”. We need not enter a civil war. Civil wars are intended to replace a current government structure with a new one. We do not need this. What we do need is to dismantle the behemoth. Rid ourselves of all of the unconstitutional perks and programs we’ve bought with “public” money. Monies better left in the hands of citizens free to prosper.

I am confident God Almighty knows how all this will turn out. While He may not be urging us all to accept my particular viewpoint on things, I’d like to think my compass is pointed in the right direction. If not, my prayer is for Him to right me when I stray off course.

If one cannot trust God ?Almighty, who or what can you trust? I cannot trust humans. Even our use of “science” is limited by human understanding. Certainly politicians should only be trusted to act in their own self-interest. Bluntly put, this goes for most people as well. Thanks but I can only trust my Heavenly Father. I trust that He knows the score, His plan is perfect and all will end well. I also trust His love for me and trust He will never fail me.

With everything happening all around us – such trust is indeed a comfort.

Independence Day Revisited…

Today we commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The full text of this Declaration is included below. Many of the colonists grievances do not apply today. No “king” denies our liberty. In his place we’ve established “our betters” to do what no king could do… rule us with an iron fist.

Our forefathers bravely put forth the radical concept of self-government. They put documents in place – the Articles of Confederation and later the Constitution for the United States of America to secure the rights and liberties of the newly freed thirteen sovereign states while providing to include additional states in their merry band.

Their vision was only partly successful. While our nation itself thrived economically, partially due to the enormous resources inherent in this continent and partly due to a relatively free economy.

Then greed and the money men took over. They bought politicians. They used their influence to smash competitors with regulation and rape the citizens via taxation – the very things the colonists fought and died over.

Now the money men – the controllers have this nation in a death grip. Many no longer even live here. Most others can relocate elsewhere at their convenience – all the while exacting pounds of flesh from us citizens.

Laughably, some promote racial wars by demanding reparations for the slavery in our past. Why is this laughable? Because we are slaves of the controllers in the here and now. They own us and they know it.

Remember our Independence. I am sorry to say, true independence is not even something anyone alive today can remember. It was stolen from us long ago.

All is not lost. While some are sure to mock me, we do still have the framework to reclaim our independence – our right to self-government. To accomplish this we need to stand up as citizens and demand a return to our constitutional republic.

Throw out the money men – dissolve the political parties – dismantle the onerous deep state and start fresh.

In Congress, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

General Flynn Agrees

Thanks to ZeroHedge.com, I saw this op-ed from recently vindicated General Flynn.  While we may differ on certain points and approaches, we have very common ground on the principles!

Many (okay two of the three) readers here probably know what the III % means – the estimation our own Revolutionary War was fought and won by a mere 3% of the population. General Flynn’s article somewhat mirrors this concept while turning the tables in favor of the radicals… or rather their controllers. No doubt there are those on both sides familiar with the tools used to seize control in many circumstances.

Once again I say there is a better way – a peaceful way. We have the one tool required to not only restore our nation but to actually establish a true constitutional republic. This tool is our Constitution. It is our basis for self-government. However WE must learn to use this tool effectively if we are to bring our nation back from the brink of utter destruction.
