Why The FIRST Amendment Secures Freedom of Speech

Sometimes it takes me a while to catch on, even to the simplest concepts. For years whenever I considered the First Amendment to our Constitution, I mostly wondered why our right to keep and bear arms came second. Only recently did it dawn on me why our freedom of speech is enumerated before our right to defend ourselves and our nation.

First take note: freedom of religion is at the very TOP of the list and rightfully so. One can argue till the end of eternity, if one was to believe in such, about whether the founding fathers truly believed in God Almighty or what they believed. No matter what else one can say, it is indisputable where they placed the words “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”. Here is the First Amendment in its entirety:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Freedom of speech comes second, followed by freedom of the press (i.e. the right to PUBLISH ones words). As for the final two: “or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” one may wonder if these should be rendered collectively or individually. Why not both? I see no reason to insist one activity be dependent on the other.

Please understand, I am in no way saying the order of our declared rights specifies any inherent ranking. That said, could there be some sort of “divine design” in how these are ordered?

As a Christian, I am obligated to put God first and foremost in my life – or at least make every effort to do so. Fallible as I am, I cannot count how many times I’ve missed this mark. Even so, acknowledging God Almighty is most important to me. I fully believe this is important to God Himself also. So take it as you will. After all you have every right to believe or not, but I see an incredible divine logic in the placement of the very first declared right.

Coming back to our freedom of speech, has anyone else ever wondered why the founders considered this so important? For me, this goes far beyond the simple freedom to speak one’s mind or to write one’s thoughts. It goes deeper than this – way deeper. How so?

Think about it – what is speech but the formation of words and what are words but the expression of thoughts and ideas? Dig deeper. This is basic. It delves into the very nature of human existence. It is what rises us up to the top of all earthly life and sets us apart from every other living thing.

Words. Thoughts. Ideas. Along with the capacity to express them, the very ability to form them are crucial to our lives. Ideas are far more powerful than any weapon conceived by mankind. Our nation was established by them. Wars are always fought because of them. All of our lives… our very existence centers around the words we think, say and act upon.

The most feared weapon in the world is not the “Bomb” – it is the TRUTH! It is the bell that cannot be unrung. This is why the controllers and their media minions first attack all truth with lies, then move to silence all who oppose them. They know their falsehoods cannot stand against truth. They know once they are exposed for the frauds they are they cannot easily regain the trust they gambled. This is why they are determined to shut down all dissidence. This is why our freedom of speech is prominently included in the FIRST amendment!

This truth reveals another potent truth – words are powerful. Scripture is called The Word of God. Our Constitution consists of words. A picture may say 1,000 words, but a few words, properly crafted into a meaningful phrase can change the world. Consider the following words:

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Those of you who believe know exactly how powerful these words are. Those who reject them shall one day find out.

First Amendment or not, our freedom to worship God Almighty, our freedom of speech is not something granted by men. Nor can mere men take these away. They do not have such authority! No matter what happens in this nation, no matter what nation you are a citizen or subject of, your freedom is granted to you by a Holy God in Heaven. You need not ask permission.

In this nation, these United States, the controllers will attempt to shut down anyone who speaks the truth. They already ARE doing this and making inroads. Speak the truth – this will overwhelm them. They cannot stand against a Holy God. They are powerless against the truth. The controllers know this and this is why they are making every effort to eradicate our First Amendment rights. No matter what happens God will have the final say. It is written.

Independence Day Revisited…

Today we commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The full text of this Declaration is included below. Many of the colonists grievances do not apply today. No “king” denies our liberty. In his place we’ve established “our betters” to do what no king could do… rule us with an iron fist.

Our forefathers bravely put forth the radical concept of self-government. They put documents in place – the Articles of Confederation and later the Constitution for the United States of America to secure the rights and liberties of the newly freed thirteen sovereign states while providing to include additional states in their merry band.

Their vision was only partly successful. While our nation itself thrived economically, partially due to the enormous resources inherent in this continent and partly due to a relatively free economy.

Then greed and the money men took over. They bought politicians. They used their influence to smash competitors with regulation and rape the citizens via taxation – the very things the colonists fought and died over.

Now the money men – the controllers have this nation in a death grip. Many no longer even live here. Most others can relocate elsewhere at their convenience – all the while exacting pounds of flesh from us citizens.

Laughably, some promote racial wars by demanding reparations for the slavery in our past. Why is this laughable? Because we are slaves of the controllers in the here and now. They own us and they know it.

Remember our Independence. I am sorry to say, true independence is not even something anyone alive today can remember. It was stolen from us long ago.

All is not lost. While some are sure to mock me, we do still have the framework to reclaim our independence – our right to self-government. To accomplish this we need to stand up as citizens and demand a return to our constitutional republic.

Throw out the money men – dissolve the political parties – dismantle the onerous deep state and start fresh.

In Congress, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Thanks to ZeroHedge.com, I saw this op-ed from recently vindicated General Flynn. While we may differ on certain points and approaches, we have very common ground on the principles!

Many (okay two of the three) readers here probably know what the III % means – the estimation our own Revolutionary War was fought and won by a mere 3% of the population. General Flynn’s article somewhat mirrors this concept while turning the tables in favor of the radicals… or rather their controllers. No doubt there are those on both sides familiar with the tools used to seize control in many circumstances.

Once again I say there is a better way – a peaceful way. We have the one tool required to not only restore our nation but to actually establish a true constitutional republic. This tool is our Constitution. It is our basis for self-government. However WE must learn to use this tool effectively if we are to bring our nation back from the brink of utter destruction.

Fake It Until You… Break It!

If you are trying to make some sense of all of this Wuhan Flu pandemic – this could be your first mistake.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

For over 100 years and then some, this nation has prospered in spite of the controllers best efforts to stem the flow. While it is true the controllers have not actually tried to shut down our economy – they have indeed thrown wrench after wrench in the works to slow us down. They call this “progress”. As per usual, they say one thing while intending the exact opposite. Consider:

The controllers exact part of nearly every transaction citizens make – i.e. they “tax” everything.

The controllers continue to exact money from citizens for possessing what they’ve bought and paid for in the form of personal and real property taxes, inventory taxes, license fees, etc.

The controllers “redistribute” our wealth or so it seems. From my perspective, much of this wealth is “redistributed” into their own pockets.

The controllers control citizens and thus our prosperity by regulating everything – licenses and permits along with mountains of rules and regulations micromanaging everything we do. I remember seeing print on a can of paint saying “this color is OSHA approved”. Seriously. Some controllers at said letter agency deemed it prudent to “approve” the color black.

I said it before – if we want to supercharge our economy we need do only one thing – get governments out of our way! WE will do the rest!

Now back to the circumstances at hand: this pandemic craziness. Everything I see points to one thing: the controllers are totally bent on destroying our nation. Logically, this makes ZERO sense! In spite of all of their efforts to the contrary, our nation can bounce back from this devastation to generate trillions of dollars worth of profits for the controllers. Why kill this goose laying golden eggs? Why!?

Go back and read John 10:10 again. The controllers do not want prosperity. They want control. Controllers control. It is what they do because it is their nature. While this makes sense to me, I find no logic at all in their desire.

Once one understands how the nature of the controllers differs from the nature of the rest of us, things become more clear. The controllers’ hearts are ruled by hate. They especially hate anyone they do not control and they particularly hate anyone not under their control who also prospers. Control is everything to the controllers. Nothing else matters. Thus they are ruthless as they pursue their passion.

Consider the pandemic nonsense from this perspective. It is all about control. The truth means nothing to the controllers. Facts mean nothing. WE mean nothing. They care not one whit about our nation, our prosperity, our lives. ALL they care about is control – at any cost.

Already they tighten nooses around our necks. They are implementing tracking applications to gain previously unheard of detail about our daily lives. They are pushing plans to clamp down on everything we do. Why? To ensure we comply with every edict they issue. Their goal is to control our every move, our every word, even our every thought. Will they succeed? Who knows? They are determined to so.

Keep in mind, they are not stupid. They know full well this nation is too large – too populous – to efficiently control. This is the reason for their desire to reduce world population by 80%. This is not speculation – this is a fact I, and many others, have documented before. It would be inaccurate to say they want to kill you. “They” don’t know you, nor do “they”. You are nothing to them – a bug on their windshield. It only grieves them to exert the effort to wipe your remains from their view. Rather, you are, at most, an inconvenience.

While I have no doubt the controllers find some amusement pushing buttons to see how we react – much like a child torturing an insect – all of this merely distracts them. Reality dictates they must, after all, bide their time until they meet their ultimate goal of total control. Why not amuse themselves by exercising sheer power from their lofty perches?

Do not be fooled. They will not stop until they have destroyed anything and everything standing in their way. They are relentless. They have to be because should the smoke clear enough for us dirt people to see the playing field… we might just realize just how phony the controllers’ “control” really is. In fact they have none. Not really. They will not and can not until they have us all disarmed with all the tools of forceful compliance directed at our heads. By then they will have declared the Constitution of the United States null and void with the muscle to enforce their decree.

Their goal is to steal our birthright and they are doing right under our noses. They have no compunction about killing us or destroying our nation to reach their brass ring. Right now, the controllers rule by smoke and mirrors. They aim to fake it until they break it.

The Wuhan Flu Con Revealed

As I posted before, we’ve all been conned. It is not the first time. It will not be the last. This latest Wuhan Flu pandemic – doozy as it was – is not the end. I’ll get right to the basics here:

First, the slight of hand the con artists used – fear.

“We are all gonna die if we do not act right now!”

Nobody said that outright but it was implied and is still implied right down the line. Here is what they did:

They isolated us. They re engineered society – taking the “social” aspect right out of the equation. All for nought. THIS was their illusion. The reality?

Whatever you want to call it, Wuhan Kung Flu was and is a bug. A virus. Not only was it not a very dangerous bug but it was and is treatable. Like any other bug, if we all had just went about our business as usual, the bug would have gotten around. Some would get sick. Some would die. We would all eventually get over it.

The response to this bug was engineered panic – social engineering that is. The pandemic itself is nothing compared to the propaganda and fear mongering promoting it to a world-wide crisis. In short… we’ve been had.

The question is what will we do about it?

If all indications of previous con games played on us dirt people… nothing. We will adjust to the new rules, regulations and tyrannical decrees and get on with our lives. In this we seem to be unshakable – and malleable. I hate to say it but we yell and point to the “sheeple” and all the while three fingers are pointing right back to us.

Face it folks – the communists-antifa “peaceful” protestor types have got more balls than most of us whining about the libtards. While I do not agree at all with their methods – they ARE taking action. Meanwhile, we point to a very few videos of those who defend themselves from brutal leftist attacks while staying safely smug behind our monitors.

What DO I advocate? The same thing I’ve encouraged all along. Accept the stewardship given to you as a citizen by God Almighty Himself. Descend on town and county meetings. Replay the 2A sanctuary movement again and again and again.

If you truly want to see improvement, YOU have to take responsibility for your own rights as a citizen. YOU have to assert YOUR authority. Self-government via a constitutional republic requires active participation.

Those of us born or naturalized into this nation have rights AND duties as citizens. To those citizens who also claim Christ as savior, I will speak plainly. Just as the blood of our savior Jesus the Messiah shed as payment for our sins is not to be taken lightly, neither is the grace of citizenship in this nation. You are born again of God’s spirit with eternal life AND you have the privilege of self-rule. Few in this world have the opportunities and blessings bestowed upon us. Do not let them go to waste.

Turn now to our Heavenly Father. Ask if I speak the truth. Ask what He would have you do. He is faithful. He WILL answer!

Wuhan Flu & Social Engineering

First, let is set aside any ideas of “conspiracy”. Granted there is a lot of indications there is far more to this entire pandemic than meets the eye – including planning and forethought long before most of us even heard of “Wuhan”. I’d rather deal with the social engineering concept today.

What is “social engineering”? This is a relatively modern term in my understanding. I first heard of it back when I read some books on hacking. No, I wasn’t trying to learn how to hack computers, etc. I WAS and AM interested in prevention and thus felt a need to learn what to avoid. What did I learn?

The easiest and most preferred “hack” was based on social engineering. In other works – talking some human into letting you into the system. If you think about it – this technique has a variety of applications far beyond the computer word.

Con games are based on the same concepts. In fact, “social engineering” could be said to be another word for a con. What else fits the mold?

Propaganda. Advertising. Politics. In fact, what we know as “the media” could be said to be elevated from a social engineering “tool” to simply another form of social engineering in and of itself. Either way, how does all of this fit into the Wuhan Flu pandemic? Think about it.

Consider the “New Normal” catch phrase. Does not the very phrase intimate a concerted effort to shift one’s thinking of what is “normal”? “Social distancing” is another one.

Fact is, this pandemic is just ONE social engineering con thrust upon us. “White privilege” is another one. It has superseded the old “affirmative action” concept. How about “climate change”? Oh yeah. If you think about this you could come up with a rather large list of cons. Or you could look at most any political platform. Politicians are the biggest con artists around. Note: sometimes they palm themselves off as “activists”. Do not be fooled.

Back to Wuhan Flu – the long and the short of it is… we’ve been conned. The controllers are “social engineering” us. This is not the first or last con – just the latest one.

In my next post I will detail exactly how this latest shell game was played. You will be surprised and dismayed at how easily we were all fooled (myself included) by the controllers’ slight of hand.

Boo Hoo – Grrgle Defunds Zero Hedge

Surprised? Really?

For the record this is a major part of why The Liberty Coalition came to being. Maybe it is a terrible name with awful connotations… I don’t know.

All I can say is I meant the name to stand for a loose association of liberty-minded bloggers and publishers. So far, it hasn’t worked out that way. My “vision” seems to have turned into a blog – a platform from where I, and I alone, spout off my ideas on liberty. Such was not intended.

Back to ZeroHedge and Grrrgle. Sorry if it sounds like sour grapes. It is not really. As a “liberty guy” I’m not into coercing anyone to do anything. I made it available and the only takers appear to be the growing army of spammers in my comment box. So be it. You cannot say I didn’t try.

Notice you have never seen Grrrgle ads on this site. This is by design. Yes they sometimes offer a nice carrot but ooooh! that stick! Screw Grrrgle. Fact is another goal of TLC (that is shorthand for The Liberty Coalition) is to end-around Grrgles search engine, among others. They are the 8,000 lb gorilla in the room. In their controlling peabrains what they say goes. Period. That’s not liberty, that is tyranny. Digital tyranny.

I do not care if any other publisher joins my efforts. I’d be just as happy if they snubbed their noses at me and did their own thing. THAT is liberty.

I like ZeroHedge. I visit the site every day. I refer to them often. I never would have known they existed if I depended on search engines like Grrrgle. When are we going to learn this?

So, no, I am not going to cry over ZeroHedge’s plight. Tyler should know better. There are lots of ways to monetize a site. Go find one.

The other part of this is we all need to extricate ourselves from tyrannical systems whether they be political, technical or something else. It does not good to whine over the FB’s, the Twits, the Grrgles of this work. I’m reminded of the phrase of a dog turning back unto it’s own vomit. Yes, I use all of these to some extent but I refuse to depend on any of them.

The bottom line for me is, I want to continue to build a network of liberty-minded bloggers, publishers and other individuals and groups. It need not be the only network. As a matter of fact, the more the merrier.

Once again that word “diversification” comes into play.

Let’s see just recently we’ve seen how a corrupt administration used a pile of three-letter agencies and “the law” to spy on American citizens including a president-elect.

We’ve seen sitting US Senators charged with profiting from insider information.

We’ve seen strong evidence of systemic abuse by former public officials while they are in positions of political power.

We’ve seen current public officials defy the Constitution of the United States and their own state constitutions by issuing all kinds of unconstitutional decrees.

This last bit especially makes me wonder… are we THERE yet? Will we, as a nation, bow down to the likes of these controllers to allow them the power to follow us everywhere? To spy on us anywhere we go?

Even if this goes away… do you really think it means a “win” for liberty? It does not.

Long ago in my first sales job as a stockbroker – i.e. a glorified salesman for a stock of the month club – part of my job consisted of “qualifying” the prospect. In essence I had to find out how much money he had to invest. I naively asked: “How much of this should I go for?”

My boss said “ALL of it! Then settle for as much as you can get.”

At some point I realized how wrong this approach was, but that is beside the point. The point here is this is exactly the strategy of the controllers is… always. They set their sights on far more than they know they can get, then they “settle” for less. And they always come back for more!

Now… suppose we actually see some “huge uproar” concerning Bill Gates and company. Don’t count on it but just suppose… what do you think will happen? Yep. The controllers will “settle” for a lesser plan. Don’t worry they’ll be back for more and more and more.

My question to YOU is… are you ready to put a stop to this nonsense? The controllers have NO RIGHTS to our liberty. None. WE have FULL AUTHORITY under our constitution to govern ourselves. If WE do not like some law, rule or decree – we have EVERY RIGHT to tell our representatives to back off – to either cease and desist entirely or find another way to achieve a goal we find worthy.

We have stewardship of this nation and thus WE have the RESPONSIBILITY to ensure our representatives and our public employees follow the law of the land – the Constitution. This means the citizens of this nation should be insisting those public employees bent on usurping power and authority they DO NOT HAVE be brought up on charges of treason. In my eyes their attempts are attempts to suborn the law of the land and institute their own version of government in place of the framework laid by our respective constitutions.

Their goal is obvious: replace our constitutional republic with their own lawless rule. If we do not act and act quickly we will pass the point of no return. I ask again…

Just WOW!

2020… the year the fun never stopped. Already we are in the sixth month and there is no end is sight.

Somehow I’m reminded of Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s Karn Evil No. 9 Part II from their Brain Salad Surgery album:

It is almost as if this song comes to life. All right, All right… so ELP is a bit tame by comparison. You go try to find anything comparable to today’s insanity.

Even so headlines from yesterday rather shocked me.

Seattle “Autonomous Zone” Now Has A “Heavily-Armed” Warlord As Crime Spikes 300%

It wasn’t so much this as the news ofCivil War Two, The Coming Break-up of America this CHAZ zone. Please forgive me if I am behind on current events. I refuse to glue myself to the news. While all this was going on, I revised an ebook I pick up from time to time. I have yet to read it all the way through, however part I did read predicted events like this would mark Civil War II.

The author’s reasoning is this action is symbolic of a separation of a group from the nation. I cannot argue with his reasoning. The book was written in 1995 by Thomas Chittum.

The book is “Civil War Two, The Coming Break-up of America“. He gives this book away so I am offering a copy here. I am neither recommending nor endorsing anything in this book. It is one man’s observation and opinion. I offer it here because I feel at least some of this thoughts on the topic are worth considering.

According to Mr. Chittum:

When I wrote Civil War Two back in 1995 I had just returned from Croatia where I had fought in their civil war that resulted in the partition of the former Yugoslavia along ethnic lines. My book focused on demographic changes that I believed were driving this nation towards a similar breakup along ethnic lines.

My reply was: “I DENY THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION! 🙂”

If case you missed it, the smiley at the end indicates my reply was rather tongue in cheek.

While I dearly want to see our nation become a truly constitutional republic, it now appears this is not likely to happen. What would it take?

In my mind, it would take an ongoing effort similar to Virginia’s 2A sanctuary movement – all across the nation. WE, the PEOPLE, need to take up our stewardship and take back control of our nation county by county. Such action would be entirely non-violent. It would need to happen somewhat spontaneously.

Our power, our authority is a gift from Almighty God, but unless we claim it and use it, it does us not one whit of good.

We Are ALL Connected – Just Ask the NSA…

Ran across an article posted on ZeroHedge bySimon Black of Sovereign Man It concerns a book about a contact tracing tool developed and used by the NSA.

The bottom line is they can and do keep track of all of us via any contacts we make with anyone – phone, text, email – probably carrier pigeon as well. All paid for by OUR tax dollars of course.

My question is why are we paying for the controllers to spy on us? Once again, it all has to do with centralization and bigness. The federal government is a massive monster. As we’ve all seen with the Trump/Russia drama, it is totally out of control. How do we fix this? You are not going to like my answer. At the very least it will make most people quite uncomfortable.

We need to dump it all and start fresh from the bottom up. Decentralize. Most of what goes on in DC happens behind closed doors. Even our vaunted defense program is not worth the money or effort we put into it. Does this mean we get rid of all the expensive toys we’ve bought for the military? No. Not really. However I’d say there are a lot we don’t need. I’m not expert enough to even make any suggestions but we can tackle that later.

Before anything gets done, we need to take control and accept our stewardship roles as citizens. Anything beyond this is fantasy. Heck, maybe even the idea of a “2A Sanctuary” type movement to reclaim our birthright is too dreamy to actually happen. I don’t know. All I can do is keep plugging away in hopes some of you will see the light and make some noise.

Idiocy in Virginia as governor Ralphie Northam decrees all citizens are to wear masks in public. This is wrong in so many ways. First it is an absolute infringement on our constitutional rights. Ralphie as zero authority here. His edict is based on bad “science” – as is this entire pandemic scenario. All that said, I’m posting a couple of articles you will likely never see on the MSM. They are far too busy pushing fear.

I, personally, REJECT this SCOTUS opinion.

The fact is, this is far from the first time SCOTUS has sided with the controllers. It won’t be the last. As citizens, we’ve been conditioned to accept them as the last word. Even in our language SCOTUS rules. They. do. not. WE rule. WE are self-governed. Once again it is up to US, the citizens of this Constitutional Republic to take our rightful place and overrule the controllers.

With no disrespect intended for those few in the group who actually uphold the constitution – SCOTUS can bite me. YOUR ONLY JOB is to ensure the other two branches comply with constitutional limits. Period. ANY doubt should ALWAYS be decided in favor of the citizens. Is this clear enough? If not, see me after class. Yes, I AM speaking you Justice Kennedy!

Do not think I’m letting the rest of them off the hook. As Chief Justice, Kennedy is the leader of the gang. Thus I expect him to lead the others in adhering the the absolute principles of our Constitutional Republic.

Keep in mind guys and gals, your “lifetime” appointment is still subject to impeachment. While such a thing may seem like a pipe dream to you, let me remind you, a mere six months ago, the idea I’d have to write something like this never crossed my mind.

When are WE going to step up as citizens, take up the reins of stewardship, and put the controllers in their place?

Censorship on Facebook, Twitter and the President

Already I posted my opinion on Twitter. President Trump is expected to sign an Executive Order concerning Social Media – i.e. Twitter, Facebook and company.

Now the actual EO was signed and published, I realize my assumptions about this action was wrong.

Bluntly put I’m tired of the endless “Executive Orders” by whatever administrator all taken with the force of law. In our nation executive branch employees do not write law. They administer them. They enforce them. The legislative branch writes law. This is why they are called the “legislative” branch. My apologies if this comes across as “splaining” but really. We all get caught up on this crap. Enough is enough.

Now what CAN an executive do? He/she can direct their administration to enforce the law as long as said law is in compliance with the Constitution(s).

I wrote that yesterday. This morning I realized the President’s executive order was right on the money.

Now about the Twitters and Facebooks of the world. Get this straight – I despise them. I am not a naturally “social” person but these things are a waste in and of themselves. This is not to say they are not entirely unuseful. I just do not like them. That said, they are private enterprises. They have EVERY RIGHT to censor whom they wish. One need not like it but we CANNOT allow any government to dictate what a SM platform can or cannot allow. This in itself is a form of censorship.

There is ONE exception I can see. As you may know from a previous post, I am involved in a discussion concerning Governor Ralphie’s dictates on a Lunenburg County FB page. This is the format the county BOS has settled on to inform the public. Apparently their WordPress website is to complex for them. In this instance, the FB page is essentially a public forum

While I stand by what I wrote, I had no idea these entities were granted special protections from the Federal government. I even understand the reasoning behind the special protections. My understanding is such:

Entities providing a platform for free speech are protected from lawsuits holding them accountable for the actions of those who publish their opinions on these platforms.

It almost irks me to say this but this actually makes sense. I’ve operated forums before, I have one available now, that neither one of my two readers use by the way, and I had no idea such protection existed.

In light of this, I applaud you, Mr. President!

Governor Ralphie N Ramping Up Assault on Constitution

Continuing his assault on our Constitution, governor Ralphie Northam now decrees masks are mandatory for all citizens in public places. Again his action flies in the very face of our God-given rights. From my perspective it is an unlawful attempt to circumvent our very Constitutional Republic and replace our lawful government with his own personal dictatorship. In short, his actions are the very definition of treason.

Before I go any further – below is a graphic illustrating the argument against wearing masks:

Not even the science is settled, but the question here is… even if science ends up vindicating his stated reasons – by what authority can he issue said orders? There ONLY authority he has is what is granted by our respective constitutions and by the citizens of this commonwealth. Even as citizens, we do NOT have the option to override the Constitution of Virginia. We may alter or abolish it, but we cannot overrule it.

As such I posted on Lunenburg County’s FB page my concerns and called for the county Board of Supervisors to overrule the governor. I doubt very much if they will respond without a great deal of pressure from other citizens. I would be surprised if such pressure built into anything larger than a fizzle. However, I cannot, in good conscience at least do my own small part. Here is what I posted on FB.

This FB battle rages. Okay, maybe it is a bit dramatic but there is more since I pasted this thread together. The bottom line is not everyone agrees – only four people have responded at all – how sad. The dissenters insist our rights are not being infringed upon. Well, if you insist… uh, no.
