Reagan – The Movie Reviewed

My wife wanted to go see Reagan. Me? I could wait until it came out whenever. Now I’m glad we went. Why? Timeliness. More on that in a bit. First I’ll point out I did not take notes. I did not “fact check” anything for historical accuracy. As with any dramatic portrayal, I expect there were some literary licenses taken, some facts shaded, overlooked, or ignored. Yeah, okay, I get that. For instance Jane Wyatt was portrayed as a bit of a bitch before her and Reagan’s divorce. Maybe she was and maybe she wasn’t. At the end they did display several pictures with captions. One was with her stating she voted for Reagan twice for President. I remember she refused to comment on Reagan’s presidency at all until after his passing. Divorces can be a bitch. Maybe she was as well. Emotions run high. I don’t know the woman nor the circumstances but I feel they were a bit hard on her. As for this review, I’ll aim more for the “sense” of the movie – the overall feeling.

Let me tell you that “sense” is a mixed bag. Overall the movie was positive yet unafraid to show some of the negative side. Ron Reagan’s father Jack, for instance. He was a drunk and not a great influence. This may be to my own difficulty I have decoding audio – it is kind of like audio dyslexia – but I couldn’t’ tell if Ron called his father “dad” or “Jack”. It seems he always called him “Jack”. At times in the movie he surely did. Odd.

I have to admit my eyes welled up several times. Mostly I’m reminded of how much I miss President Reagan. No one, not even Donald J. Trump can compare to the Gipper. He was never once called this in the movie, by the way. Several times he was called “Dutch”. Either way, the quality, the genuineness of the man shone through.

Dennis Quaid did a masterful job in his portrayal. No, he didn’t look all that much like Ron Reagan most of the time. It wasn’t a pure mimic, but he had Reagan’s cadence down well and it was easy to see the man the film was about.

Penelope Ann Miller did well as Nancy Reagan. Her part was harder to compare as I didn’t know Nancy all that well. Penelope has always been a favorite of mine so I’m biased about her. The writer’s showed Nancy as decent and strong, and I expect that to be accurate. My wife commented that she actually liked Nancy Reagan where she’d never cared for her before. I thought the producers demonstrated the love and devotion the Reagan’s had for each other admirably and, I think, believably.

The other notable character for me was Tip O’Neil. Personally, I never could stand the man. Maybe I’m taking this the wrong way and the movie unveiled O’Neil for the phony he was. I never felt at ease with the way they made him likable. Maybe he was up close and personal but I’d still check my pockets and count my fingers after having a beer with him.

Why Watch Reagan NOW?

If the local movie house was any indication, you won’t be standing in line to see this flick. There were five others watching besides my wife and I by my count. This is a shame because given the current political environment, now is exactly the time to watch this.

The film opens with the attempted assassination of President Reagan. This is chilling considering the two attempts on Trump already. How or why the movie came to open with this is unnerving. It also fits even though Reagan’s story begins toward the end rather than at the beginning. Throughout the film the timeline shifts. Unlike many other films that try this, it works here.

As you watch, you’ll see other parallels and themes directly relating to up to the moment events. If you pay attention, you’ll also see misses – not so much by the producers but misses by Reagan and those around him. He nailed the tax cut and presented one of the best simple explanation of why tax cuts are effective I’ve ever heard. Some of what Reagan said in the movie are absolutely relevant today.

One notable thing Reagan missed – what we all missed and continue to overlook is the globalist agenda. Reagan was hell on communism. In the movie he stood fast against efforts to aggregate all of our nation’s unions into a single entity and led the Screen Actor’s Guild to vote to keep their independence. He also outlined his strategy of breaking the Soviets financially to Nancy before he became Governor of California. It seems the globalists are deploying this same strategy against our nation to this day. Even so, Reagan missed the bigger picture. Many contend Socialism leads to Communism and it does. What he and most fail to recognize is Socialism and Communism lead to globalization. A one-world government is the ultimate prize – one we are speeding towards.

The movie is well worth watching. It will move you, possibly inspire you. It could even help you make sense of what is happening to us in this nation today.

P.S. A couple of notes here.

The movie was loosely based on The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism, a 2006 book written by Paul Kengor. Kengor himself said the script was “faithful” to both his book and history.

In the film, one book Ron Reagan read early in his life, the book that inspired him to accept Christ and “left an abiding belief in the triumph of good over evil” was That Printer of Udell’s is a 1902 work of fiction by Harold Bell Wright. I linked this title to the free version(s) from Project Gutenburg.

Noah’s Ark FOUND! (The WHEN Will Shock You) The Bigger Surprise Is What It ALL Means to YOU!

This news is stunning – really stunning. It was revealed on yesterday’s Lance Wallnau’s “Firewall” on Real America’s Voice yesterday.

I found it broadcast on Rumble so I’m  linking to that because I can post one link instead of four.

Before you check the video out (about 43 minutes), I’ll offer a bit of a preview:

You won’t believe the WHEN Noah’s Ark was discovered. (Hint: if you’ve ever watched a broadcast about Noah’s Ark, you’ll wonder why NONE of them revealed what you see here.)

The HOW God Almighty supernaturally uncovered the ark and the divine timing of this revelation will chill you.

WHAT it means to you today will shock you.

But that’s not all…

The biblical scholar, Rick Renner, has not only studied and documented these revelations about Noah’s Ark, he has done so while living in Russia for the past 32 years. What he has to say about Russia, America, and the reality of what is happening in both nations will shake you to your bones.

You owe it to yourself to watch the whole thing.

My New Project – Spiritual Warfare

Just a note here, I am working on a book about spiritual warfare. I hope to complete and release it soon. The sooner the better as I see a great need for our nation.

Ephesians 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The topic is spiritual warfare. The title of this work is yet to be finalized. I may just leave it at “Spiritual Warfare” but God may reveal something else.

Please do keep me in prayer as well.

Why Thomas Massie’s National Constitutional Carry Act Is ALL WRONG

This from Ammoland:
The National Constitutional Carry Act (HR 9534) would remove permitting requirements for Americans to carry firearms nationwide.

A few days ago I commented on Twitter about this. It’s ALL WRONG. Yes, I am still a strong advocate for our right to keep and bear arms and that is exactly why a bill such as this pains me. Fact is, nobody – NOBODY – should have to file such a bill. The Second Amendment is clear as day.

“the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Exactly what part of “shall not be infringed” needs further explanation?

I’ll take this one step further:

To infringe upon the God-given, Constitutionally guaranteed right of every law-abiding citizen to keep and bear arms inherently declares said right depends not on the actions of our citizens but on the conduct of the guilty and lawless.

In other words – the gun grabbers keep insisting on infringing upon our rights because of criminal conduct.

No. Just no.

In the same batch of articles from Ammoland, another judge refused to recognize the right of yet another citizen to own two firearms banned by the NFA – National Firearms Act. Among his “reasoning” is these weapons are not in common use. So what? First of all they cannot be in “common use” because most citizens refuse to jump through government hoops to avoid landing in a federal court as Christopher Chan did. Here’s a cute challenge – repeal the NFA, wait a few months then tell me automatic weapons, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, and noise suppressors are “not in common use”. I dare you.

Fact is the use of noise suppressors is becoming more and more common despite the feds overbearing efforts to squelch our rights to these tools. Yes they helped matters tremendously by clearing their backlog of applications so it now only takes weeks instead of months to be approved. How droll.

For once I’m not going to present a long-winded argument stating my case for trashing not only the NFA but every stinking piece of gun legislation that infringes upon the rights of law-abiding citizens. You’re welcome. The argument is simple. As citizens, we have every right to keep and bear arms. Period. End of discussion.

Trump/Harris – Half a Debate – All The Commentary

Call it literary license or whatever, if the “fact checkers” could they’d nail me on this one. I didn’t make it through even half the debate. It was just too painful on both sides. That said, I just gotta say stuff about what I did see.

No Word Salad – Kamala did not deliver what I wanted most – one of her famous word salads. She was often incoherent enough for even her staunchest fans but alas she seemed to keep it together. Maybe she denigrated later in the debate. No matter. Point for her.

Lies, Lies, Lies – Kamala again. I swear the woman needs to be bitch slapped with the truth. While even that is not likely to sink in, at least some of us could gain some measure of satisfaction.

Trump was classic Trump but it did not serve him well. Now maybe you see Trump in another light but what I saw was someone who came across as one who was straining to hold it together even though he was pissed off. He was off message much of the time. Oh he made good points but his timing sucked.

The Mods – I have to ask, are there no rules for them? First of all they failed to abide by the rules as stated. This was especially evident when both mics were turned on at the same time. Then I gotta ask – who died and made them fact checkers? More on that real soon.

Neither debater did well answering questions. Harris packaged her non-answers with more glitter and ribbon but that’s about it. She did seem to have mastered the fine art of deflection.

So let’s dig into some meat – shall we? Vegans – feel free to abstain or just sit and chew your cud.

The economy. What a freaking disaster. Okay Kamala, first you attack Trump. Now your first talking point wasn’t exactly a lie – unemployment was high when Trump left office. Your nose should have grown a foot when you blamed Trump for it. We all know the reason for the high unemployment and the most fingers should be pointing directly at the bluest states where they came down hardest with all the lockdown BS.

Then you talked about all these wonderful “tax credits” and how you are going to help poor families buy homes with them and start businesses. Not only is your “economic quotient” at retard level but you have zero understanding of the tax system. For a moment, let’s just go with your “plan”.

So on your first day in office you convince Congress – both houses to pass your tax credits. Wonderful. How much money does this put in the pockets of those poor families you wear on your sleeve? Zero. That’s right – nothing. Nada. They will have to wait a year before they can even file for your tax credit. Same goes for the business tax credit. Worse, unless it is a “refundable” tax credit – it only applies against income you earn. If they aren’t making any money, most tax credits won’t do them any good. So that family you want to give money to so they can buy a child car seat are plum out of luck if they need one in 2025. What does happen is should they get that pretty “refundable tax credit” – a nice fat check that redistributes wealth from those that have to those than don’t – how are they likely to spend it? They ain’t buying a car seat – they will buy the car, or a boat, or a vacation. Those checks are windfalls – money that burns holes in their pockets.

Let’s move on to your $50K “business tax credit”. Again if it is non-refundable, any business will have to spend money to make money. That is not bad business but where will they get the money? They need capitol. There was a pool of COVID money that offered business “loans” to help businesses. They were forgivable. “You borrow the money but you won’t need to pay it back.” Trouble is those business had to already be in business for two years to apply. So what if you redistributed more wealth to help aspiring business owners start new business? Bad idea. Really REALLY bad idea. Overwhelmingly, most businesses fail. One of the biggest culprits is over funding. It’s that fat check syndrome all over again.

What’s wrong with your economic ideas? Can you say Marxism? Trump called you a Marxist to your face and he was spot on. We all know the basic tenant of your ideology is redistribution of wealth. There ya go.

Then you whined about Trumps tariffs – calling them a “sales tax”. That analogy was so brilliant I had to wonder who put those words in your mouth. Face it Kamala – original ideas are not your forté. Once again your economic ignorance is showing.

In this case both you and Donald J. Trump earn a major fail. Donald, you are on the right track with tariffs if you could only express the principle better. Here’s the scoop.

For those who don’t know – a tariff is a tax on imported goods. Thus the actual genius of Kamala’s assertion that it amounts to a national “sales tax”. It kinda really is. Funny thing, many democrats and RINOs alike champ at the bit at the very thought of picking more out of taxpayer pockets with a national sales tax. The idea is not new. That said, while tariffs indeed add to the price of imported goods, the main reason we need tariffs is not to generate revenue (are you hearing me Donald?) but to protect American workers. (Kamala?) Hear me out.

Probably my favorite modern expert here is non other the Kevin O’Leary, aka “Mr. Wonderful” of Shark Tank fame. Lately he’s been quote vocal about national economics and business and he’s usually quite right. (I’ll take the pun.) For the purposes of my example here, I’ll rather look to Kevin’s often stated strategy when talking deals in the Tank. You see what he loves to do is take a great product overseas so he can mass produce it at rock bottom cost to make big profits selling it in the States.

His approach strips away the mystery of tariffs. What is the major cost of producing most products? Labor. So what Mr. Wonderful likes to do is find the absolute rock bottom labor to produce goods – slave labor is fine as long as it is not called such. What does this do for American workers? Nothing. In fact outsourcing manufacturing to take advantage of cheap labor kills American jobs. Tariffs level the playing field providing an incentive to produce more goods employing American workers. And THAT Donald, makes a far better case for tariffs than “it brings in so much money”.

Immigration – rather illegal immigration came up early in the debate. Trump correctly tagged it as an important economic factor but he alluded to the idea that criminals were coming to this country to take American jobs. Uh, no, they are not. Nor are the mentally ill so much. Sure the message got mixed up in the heat of the debate. I’m not sure I would do much better. Chances are I’d sound like a blubbering idiot so no judgment here, just a bit of armchair quarterbacking. Okay, I prefer to think of this as an after action report from an observer – impartial I am not.

While I did cringe a bit when Donald bought up Haitians eating pets, it was because FOX (so kill me) brought it up just before the debate began saying the reports may not be accurate. But Trump is Trum and he said what he said. Furthermore, I cannot remember a time when Trump made some outrageous statement that later proved to be untrue. Several times I’ve seen him vindicated. This last assertion is no different. ZeroHedge this morning reported where a 27 year-old woman was charged with killing and eating a cat. That was fast. The mods were quick to point out a Springfield “city official” stated there was no evidence of such happenings. Oops. I forget how Trump replied but I think another tactic would have served him better. First, if he had said something like, “City official? You mean a politician? You do know how to tell if a politician is lying don’t you?” Then I would look directly at Kamala. Continuing, I would remind all how it was also a “city official” who literally videoed a segment at the wrong complex to “prove” (air quotes here) the reports of Venezuelan Gangs rampaging apartment complexes were false. I might also note how two gang members were arrested then released on $1000 bail.

So, Kamala’s immigration defense centered around a “bi-partisan bill” that Trump supposedly squelched. I know nothing about this particular bill but no doubt is was crap legislation. Most likely it provided a “path to citizenship” for illegal aliens, among other things. Trump should have pointed out the wall that the Biden-Harris administration stopped, as well as the “Stay in Mexico” and other policies that ended with Biden despite their huge success.

The the debacle turned to abortion. I could only groan. It is a stupid argument. It is settled. SCOTUS has rightfully ruled abortion is a state and not a federal issue. Hello. Why – WHY ask the candidates if they would sign a “national abortion bill”? IT IS NOT A FEDERAL ISSUE! It doesn’t matter. As for Kamala’s whining and lying about all those poor working women who can’t afford to go out of state to abort their pregnancies, I’ll chalk up a point for her. I did not know some states have outlawed abortion entirely, or nearly so. Possibly a better response from Trump might have been – Kamala, you have a point, but it is no longer a federal issue. We should have an open discussion on how to approach these contingencies.

That is about as far as I got. I left soon after the “debate” turned into a shouting match with both mics left on. The “moderators” were terrible at their jobs. They didn’t moderate so much as advocate and it was clear what side they were on. Shame on you both.

Word on FOX (don’t go there, my wife told me) is Kamala came out better than Trump. From what I saw, I have to agree. Sadly my assessment is more about the optics than the substance. Kamala Harris did not impress me at all with her presentation. What she did do was appear to at least not be the word salad queen she has become famous for. On Trump’s side, he failed to nail her on many major points. She left the door open many times and he insisted on ramming his head on the door jam. Bad Donald – BAD!

Overall I am not at all enthused about this election. My earlier hopes this opportunity – this ONE shot we have at finally taking the White House AND Congress by storm has dwindled to a thin hope that maybe we can keep that Globalist puppet out of the White House. Of course, in 2016 I had all but conceded to Killary’s inevitable rise to the throne of power. I was wrong then and while I will not give in to despair until the last vote is counted this time around, I do not expect to be surprised no matter how the final tally comes out.

IF we make it to election day. (to be continued…)

The Elitists Hold on Low-Income Voters

This morning I read a story in The Gateway Pundit about how the democrats plan to cheat. One of their “go to” resources is low income voters.

Thinking back to last night I happened to catch Jesse Watters’ “Johnny On the Street” as he talked to some Kamala delegates at the DNC. I cannot find a clip on that segment so I’ll have to go by rote. God help us all.

Johnny talked to three women, all black, and of course, all democrats. They were at the convention after all. One actually said she loved her laugh. I cringed.

Asked what they liked about her “platform” they said, “reproductive rights”, “green energy”, and “climate”. Um, okay…

A moment here, the subject line points to “low income voters”. I doubt very much if these three women qualify. Convention delegates pay their own way. Some pay “delegate dues” and there may be other costs. (maybe all, having never been either a democrat nor a delegate in any state, I don’t know. I’m drawing this from the California guidelines I drew up. I also know here in Virginia, republican delegates also pay their own way. I don’t know of any delegate dues required for the ‘privilege’.)

Could it be these delegates are subsidized by one group or another? Yeah, it’s possible, but I very much doubt if these ladies spend their days just scraping by. No evidence either way, just a feeling.

So who are these low income voters? Why do they vote democrat? What’s the real deal here?

One of the first thoughts that come to mind is the democrats simply buy these votes. Most likely they are purchased at bargain-basement prices. This is an age-old custom. I remember of stories of party operatives rounding up drunks, homeless, whoever and driving them to the polls on election day, then stuffing their pockets with a few dollars.

In one of the books in in his “Prey” series, author John Sandford sets the scene during a political season in Minnesota. If you are familiar with this series, the protagonist Lucas Davenport is Minneapolis cop in the early books who later moves up and out of the city and the state, profession-wise. John Sanford is a pen name for a journalist turned author. While I’ve never been able to pin down exactly how he stands politically (the mark of a true journalist) he tends to be fairly objective concerning both sides. In the book neither party exactly shines. In this respect I’d say his portrayal is reasonable accurate.

Back to the low income, other than outright buying votes, the democrats especially love to prance around as the “working man’s party”. Plus they love to show how generous they can be with taxpayer money. Of course they never call it “taxpayer money”. Instead they tout “free health care”, “free day care”, “free money”. They never once tell anyone the truth: the true cost of “free” is your soul.

The real wisdom these delegates offered is the message Harris & Co. that is hitting home both with themselves and those low income voters.

Reproductive rights

Green energy

Climate change

All of these catch phrases elicit emotional responses to deep-seated beliefs. Let’s consider each one.

Reproductive rights – like every other elitist catch phrase, “reproductive rights” is an empty shell with a colorful candy coating. This candy coating is flavored with uninhibited sexual freedom with zero consequences. Think about it. What do they really mean by “reproductive rights”? They certainly aren’t talking about reproduction. What they are talking about is unlimited abortions, paid for by somebody else. Why do they need unlimited abortions? They need them to rid themselves of unwanted pregnancies. Nobody is stopping them from having as many abortions as they want in most states. In fact, most states will even pay for them. Alternatively, birth control is affordable and can even be had at no cost in most states. It is a non-issue.

Green energy is a boondoggle. There is nothing at all wrong with the concept, however the idea has yet to come of age. Yes, progress has been made. And yes, it is possible for some to live “off the grid”. I’m all for it. What I am not “all for” is paying for other people to enjoy green energy with our tax dollars. Nobody pays for my home, my food, my clothes, my automobile – why should they? Why should I pay for someone else’s green energy?

Climate change. If green energy is a boondoggle, climate change is outright fraud. Look, historically and by this I mean over the span of the earth’s existence, different regions of our planet have experienced dramatic changes in climate. What are now deserts were once oceans. etc. Considering the age of the earth compared to man’s existence here, it is obvious changes in climate will happen no matter what we humans do or do not do. There is no “cause and effect” here. Or if there is any at all, it is insignificant to the planet. We need to get over ourselves.

Despite the obvious non-starter  status of these so-called “issues”, the democrats have turned them into war cries. Unlike the democrats abuse of the English language, the term “war cry” used here is exceptionally accurate. It refers to something almost as old as mankind. From grunts to trumpets to modern phrases, every culture has used this rallying technique and uses them today – “Remember the Alamo!”, the Rebel Yell, “Never Forget”.  They stir emotions deep within us. This is what the democrats evoke when they use these catch phrases and they do it well.

Every salesman knows emotions trump logic. It is not just salesmen but anyone who endeavors to persuade others understands this principle. The democrats are masters in this respect.

This is how they reach those “low income voters” – at least those they don’t simply buy or bribe.

We know this. We may not admit it. We certainly don’t address it nor counter it but we know this. How many reading this has experienced the frustration of “trying to talk some sense” into a liberal? It rarely produces fruit because we aren’t reaching them on their level.

Most people never move past what they feel. Some try but it is hard to let go. It is hard to admit their basic premises are simply wrong. Add to this the understanding that deep, down, their hearts in their right place. They don’t want to see others suffer any more than we do. So how can we reach them?

How about this? Commiserate with them. Understand their pain. Then gently lead them to a better solution. Nobody wants to see another child shot in Chicago nor anyplace else. It’s heartbreaking, but banning guns doesn’t solve the problem. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? The liberals point to guns. It’s not the gun, it is the person who pulled the trigger. Why did they shoot? Taking the gun from the shooter’s hand will not remove the problem. The problem is hate and greed. We need to get visceral.

To be blunt, I don’t know the answers – at least not the practical answers. What I do know is one reason the liberals are rabid about banning guns is deep down they want to eradicate problems by remote control. They don’t want to leave their comfortable jobs, their homes, their neighborhoods, to venture where the “gun violence” lives, roll up their sleeves and be part of the solution. I’m not sure I do either.

These dark  streets where violence lives need God most of all. I know this in my bones and yet I’m not anxious to bring the Word of God to them. If God called me to do so, no doubt I would resist that calling. God forgive me.

This is where the liberals shine. They are masters at finding ways to delegate solutions. Their most effective method of delegation? The Program. Any program will do. Just throw money at it and it will go away. We know this is not true. We can prove it, but we don’t need to. They know it it too. They don’t care. Throwing money, somebody else’s money, at problems allows them to dismiss any issue. There. Done. Now let me live my life free of guilt.

I’m “thinking aloud” here but it seems the only way out is to find a way to scratch that itch – solve whatever issue – or divert attention to something larger and more pressing.

The “good” news is, we may not have to. Our nation has turned the corner on spending and debt. All we need do is continue on this present path – continue to do nothing and those issues that concern US will soon dissolve before our eyes. Unfortunately, so won’t our nation. At the very least, our economy will collapse and we will all face much larger, more crucial problems – like survival.

Can this be averted? I believe it can but only if we act and act quickly.

First and foremost we need to go before God and pray for His hand of protection over our nation and His deliverance from the evil forces ruling our nation. We need godly people to rise up to replace the ungodly.

Second, we need to retake our nation by the force of a massive voter turnout. Real voters. If the citizens of our nation continue to allow others to make choices for them, those choices will come back to bite all of us. If you have read this far, you are now faced with a choice. Walk away or take action. Pray. Speak to others. Persuade someone to vote.

Winning the White House alone will not do it. We need to win both houses in Congress. We need to win as many seats in state and local elections as possible. We need to send a message, a strong message, a mandate.

That is our starting place. From there we need to weed out the RINOs, rid ourselves of tyrannical globalists, put liberty-loving patriots in their seats, and hold them all accountable.

Our war cry? LIBERTY!

Democrats are US

At first glance, no doubt at least some of you may think I’ve gone off my rocker. No comment. What I will say is “hold on while I explain”.

What got me to thinking about this is a couple of intersecting trains of thought. First, there is an ongoing discussion on X about the upcoming election and how, as conservative citizens, can bring those who hold opposing views to our table.

Then I got to thinking about the past few primary and election days. You see, I spend those days – more than 12 hours each time, with a mix of republican, democrat, and “independent” citizens – my fellow election officials. Despite the fact that we signed on to different political parties, we have become fast friends. One of those closest to me is a black woman who, surprisingly enough, is a democrat.

You should know that none of us are, ahem, fanatical, about our party affiliations. If anyone does any ranting at all, it would be me. Nothing ever actually gets heated. We’ve experienced no “shouting matches”. We’ve had no serious disagreements. Quite the opposite, and this is why I’m writing this now.

Do note, our polling place is in a very rural area so voters trickle in throughout the day. Thus we are left with long stretches with no one else within earshot. We have lots of time to talk and talk we do.

What I’ve found is at some very basic level, we are all very much in agreement. This doesn’t mean we’ve all declared we are voting for Trump. In fact, nobody has openly stated who we have or will vote for. It is understood that our privacy is paramount and so this is one thing we don’t talk about.

This doesn’t mean we, meaning mostly I, do not talk about principles. It surprise you or not to learn on principle, we all more or less agree on a lot. We think government interferes with our lives too much. We certainly think we pay too much in taxes. To a citizen, we love freedom. As we discuss much and I’m doing all this from the memory of an old man who never developed the habit of committing conversations to memory, I’m sure I missed a lot, but you get the idea, I’m sure.

While we never got into this aspect, no doubt if the discussion turned to it, I suspect we would all offer greatly different approaches to solving the issues we agree on. For now, it is not the finish line I am focused on but the starting point. We will never get anywhere unless a far larger percentage of citizens make the decision to finally participate in our nation’s business.

So… Democrats are US??

For the most part democrats and republicans want the same basic things – we want to be free to live our lives, speak our minds, and worship or not as we see fit. We want to be able to choose where we live, what we spend our money on, and whom we associate with. Hence the premise for this article.

If you know anything about me, you likely know how much I despise politics – more accurately the two-party debacle we call a “system”. This true “social construct” divides us and pits us against each other. But there is one more, far more sinister purpose for the two-party system. That purpose? To deftly transfer our inherent power and authority to others who control the political parties. Who are these “others”? They are individuals who control great wealth. They use this wealth to control anything and everything they can wrap their fingers around.

These “others” have split us citizens into two “camps” – democrat and republican. As someone who has identified for most of his life as a “republican” I can tell you this so-called “identity” carries no satisfaction. As far as most of the stated principles, I do agree. Heck I agree with some of the stated principles on the democrat platform.

Who doesn’t want to “heal the soul of America”? Who doesn’t want to build a stronger, fairer economy? Who doesn’t want to renew American leadership?

I want all of those things. The devil is in the details – in both cases. When it comes to the republican party, I have deeper issues. My issues stem from the fact that the leadership in this party is confidently content to pay lip service to the party’s stated principles.

If we are to reclaim our nation, we need to reconnect with fellow citizens. We cannot allow political parties to control and limit our debates. We cannot allow these controllers, these usurpers to dictate the terms of our discourse. We need to find common ground and work from there.

Common Ground

What common ground do we need to find? I wish there was some sort of ultimate answer, some list of “talking points” we can all ascribe to and depend on. It ain’t gonna happen. I don’t think it would be all that useful in the long run. Why?

There are simply too many issues swirling around us. One Xer recently pointed out “most citizens are one issue voters”. I found that observation profound. He is right. To that end, we should endeavor to find what issue each person we face resonates with, then present a liberty-focused solution. We need to understand the foundation all globalism is based upon. It’s no mystery. They exert control through fear. Consider this. Climate change, gun violence, open borders, all of it is fear-based. I get it. Living independently, taking responsibility for one’s own self is scary, but God tells us time and time again to fear not.

To this end, I propose we identify and list as many democrat platform planks and talking points, then come up with liberty-focused alternatives. The goal should be to present principles with wide appeal with an eye towards developing solutions we can all live with. The solutions should be secondary. Again, we first need to find common ground. Fortunately, the democrats have taken such a hard left, they no longer tolerate any dissenting ideas. On many issues they are as short-sighted and rigidly resistant to modifying any of their assertions, they nearly mirror what they despise most on the right. We should see this as an opportunity. They have created barriers blocking off many of their own rank and file who used to simply “vote blue”.

In other areas, we need to dissect the “democrat solutions” i.e. government programs and legislation so we can clearly demonstrate where they have failed.

For me LBJ’s “Great Society” is particularly vulnerable right now. For 60 years we’ve thrown mountains of taxpayer money to fufill Johnson’s pipe dream. It is time to end it.

Here is a response to a search on “LBJ’s Great Society”

The Great Society was Lyndon Johnson’s vision for America which demanded an end to poverty, racial injustice, and an opportunity for every child.

Wait! What!?? “end to poverty, racial injustice, and an opportunity for every child”. Isn’t this exactly what the democrats are proposing today? What have we been doing for the past 60 years? It simply is not working.

This is just a start. Take gun violence for another example. Forget about the 2A for a moment, let’s talk gun violence. What about it? Where gun violence most problematic? Would the violence vanish if the guns were removed? What about “hand and foot violence”? What about “blunt object” violence? Does it make you feel better to learn someone was beaten to death rather than shot? Violence is violence. Let’s deal with the base issue and set the topic of guns aside.

I’m sure you get the idea. I’m open to exploring any topic to find those areas of common ground and discussing ideas on how to bring citizens together on them.

Whether or not you are open to such, I urge you to at least start thinking on how you can change the course of whatever discussions you find yourself involved in. If we are going to make any sort of impact on the future of this nation, we need to find that common ground, expand on it and bring our fellow citizens to it. If the democrats were at all liberty-minded, I’d be happy to join them but they are not, and never have been. Thus our only logical choice is to throw in on the republican side, armed with the understanding that we cannot stop once we’ve voted. We need to do more, demand more. We need to set our sights on freeing ourselves of party politics but do accomplish this we must first overwhelm them by our sheer numbers. There is strength in numbers and WE the People have them in abundance. The real job is to mobilize these numbers and assert ourselves as a force to be reckoned with.

Don’t Feel Neglected – What’s New

Bluntly put it’s hard to believe my last post was on Independence Day. Time flies. What have I been doing? Ask the NSA, they know. Kidding… kinda.

I suppose I should start back to when SCOTUS handed down a couple of rulings, including one that rippled through those keeping an eye on our J6 Political Prisoners. This prompted my July 2 post. That pretty much explains what I’ve been up to. I am continuing to work on one or more events to help these J6ers and their families.

Since then I’ve been in contact with a few individuals on the front lines of this scandalous outrage, including one J6 defendant in particular – Jalise Middleton. If ever someone touched my soul, it is Jalise. Her and her husband Mark are currently remanded to house arrest. They are allowed to go to church and shop for groceries. That is about it. I have no idea how they pay for those groceries.

They also founded and are involved in American Patriot Relief

While this is a non-profit organization founded to help J6 Political Prisoners, Mark and Jalise do not accept any monies from there own organization themselves. This fact alone stuns me.

More than this, my wife and I only spoke to Jalise on the phone for a few minutes when her godly heart floored me. It wasn’t “one thing” it was everything. She’s been put through the ringer, along with her husband. (I’ve never had the privilege to talk to him.) She’s taken everything thrown at her in stride and continues to be meek and thankful. All this while facing up to forty years in prison. Forty years?! What for?

Here are the charges straight from the latest DOJ press release:

A federal jury convicted Mark Middleton, 55, and Jalise Middleton, 54, both of Forestburg, Texas, of two counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers, civil disorder, and obstruction of an official proceeding. All of these are felony offenses.

In addition to the felonies, the Middletons were convicted of misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in the Capitol grounds or building, and act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or building.

My, it sure sounds like they’re mastermind criminals, now doesn’t it? WTF happened? Here is a 2 minute timeline provided by Jalise.

That’s it. What happened there is the crux of the government’s case against the Middleton’s. They are now felons and as such their rights to vote, keep and bear arms, among others are forfeit. As of today, they await sentencing. According to this press release it was set for June 12,2024.  It was since changed to July 15th and now moved to August 9th.

Above all this Jalise remains steadfast and hopeful. She seems far more concerned about other J6 Political Prisoners. In fact, she demonstrates far more angst when the topic turns to two such Political Prisoners who have recently been released,  who were handed a ticket to take them into DC and told they had to stay in the area until their probation ended. I believe this probation period to be one year but this has not been confirmed.

Thus they have no access to family, no friends, no job, no place to live. Oh, and they are expected to give them an address where they are living within a specified period of time. Is this how all convicts are treated? If it is not then once again, said treatment is unconstitutional.

More is coming concerning the plights of these defendants and others. This is not over – not by a long shot.

Independence Day Doesn’t Mean Freedom for Everyone

We are supposed to be celebrating today. I know, right? As much as I hate to be a downer, my heart is heavy on this most American of all days – Independence Day. No, I’m not depressed. I don’t need “help” but there are those who do – those who really need our help. Most will be forgotten on this day by a majority of our nation. If you are still guessing, I am not speaking of those brave men and women past and present who have given so much in defense of our nation – up to and including their very lives. We’ve set aside special days to remember them and our gratitude doesn’t stop at that, at least not for many of us.

Instead I’m speaking of some Americans who are just like you and me. We could call them “brave” but really, I’ve no evidence of exceptional bravery exhibited by most of them. There may be a few among this group who have notably gone above and beyond, but bravery is not a determining factor here. They do all have one thing in common – they showed up. More specifically they were in our nation’s capitol on January 6, 2020. Of course I’m talking about the J6 Political Prisoners. But wait! Their ordeal is over or nearly so… right? No. Not by a long shot.

The latest SCOTUS ruling, now nearly a week old, will likely pertain to a handful of the nearly 350 J6ers. Note, due to the myriad of confusing circumstances, that number is merely a vague estimation. Plus the DOJ still seeks more citizens to notch up. This from the DOJ’s own website:

In the 37 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,313 individuals have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including more than 469 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, a felony. The investigation remains ongoing.

Just now I took time out to listen to a youtube video by Raven’s Radar.interviewing Texas J6er Jalise Middleton. Raven is a little over the top at times but her good heart shines through. Jalise and her husband Mark, founded American Patriot Relief helping other J6ers cope with their ordeals.

Jalise describes her experience in detail and what she says is stunning. What impressed me the most is her transparency. She made some mistakes, the most damning of which is appearing and posting a video on Facebook that provided fodder for the prosecution. I have yet to see the video. Nor have I seen the video the DOJ used as evidence against the Middletons. All I can speak on at this point is what Jalise has to say about the incident in question and what I’ve read on a DOJ press release.

The Raven video itself was released a bit more than a year ago so some of what I’ve drawn from it is just that dated, but it is the best I have at the moment. I’ve found it challenging to obtain current information about any of this and even more challenging to accumulate actual facts and evidence surrounding January 6. Case in point, the “justice” department’s own press release, linked above lists the date of the Middleton’s sentencing as June 12, 2024. I am fairly certain they have yet to be sentenced as of today, July 4, 2024 and I think that hearing is in the near future. Can’t even nail the buggers down on a court date for goodness sakes.

One thing I did glean from this broadcast is Jalise stated as of the time of the video, there were 111 J6ers in prison at that time. I know of at least one J6er, Brandon Fellows, was released just a short time ago, but who knows who has been arrested, released, or possibly just “detained” at this time? I sure don’t.

What I do know is there are American citizens in prisons right now who have not seen their day in court. Then there are those who have stood trial and been convicted, some of whom never set foot in the Capitol. Oathkeepers Stewart Rhodes is currently serving an 18 year sentence for “seditious conspiracy” (defined here).

Let’s face facts here. Assume the “Justice” department’s case is actually valid and Stewart Rhodes and co. did indeed intend to
“conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof,”

Even IF they did such a thing, their efforts were laughable. I mean really? Just a brief glace at the “Justice” departments own PR demonstrates how ludicrous their charges are.

“More people were convicted of seditious conspiracy in connection with the siege of the Capitol on January 6, 2020”

Siege? Here is how this term is defined: “a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies, with the aim of compelling the surrender of those inside. ”

Have you stopped laughing yet? WHAT “military operation”? WHO “surrounded the building and/or cut off essential supplies? To compel WHO to surrender? This is insanity. Let me be clear – THERE. WAS. NO. SIEGE. You know this. At best the whole thing can be described as chaos and yet, the video of citizens’ actions in the Capitol Building itself was mild as milk toast. Granted there remains several disturbing videos, including the one where Ashli Babbitt was gunned down. She was unarmed, unlike Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd who seems to lead a charmed life considering his record on the force.

PBS, partially funded by our tax dollars, calls Ashli Babbitt an “insurrectionist”. If I were her family, I’d be filing suit for defamation and/or libel. Not ONE citizen has been convicted of insurrection due to the events of January 6, 2020. Bluntly put, I’m tired of people, the media especially, tossing words around to sway the public with no regard to what those words mean. Often enough, they are the very ones trying to slam shut any dissent to their narrative citing “disinformation”. Well HELLO PBS, do tell me what the word “insurrection” means and how the term can be rightfully applied to Ashli Babbitt or any of those charged in conjunction with the events on January 6, 2020 in Washington DC. I’ll wait.

No matter what happens due to the SCOTUS ruling last week, hundreds of citizens will continue to be harassed, their lives and finances decimated, until enough patriots, and I mean you and me and others, stand up to those fomenting this nonsense and make them stop. Meanwhile, they need our help in other ways. First is financial help. Defending yourself in court is expensive. I can tell you this from personal experience. Recently my wife was a defendant in a civil suit that was thrown out but not until it cost us thousands of dollars. Jalise Middleton estimates attorney fees alone in her case cost around $70K before they were forced to seek a public defender. She never mentioned any other costs but you and I know nothing is free nor cheap these days. For one thing, the day after 22 Federal agents descended on their property, and carted her and her husband off to jail, they were released only to discover they were also unemployed. They are not alone.

As I am lacking any substantiated information, I won’t go into the abhorrent treatment many of these prisoners are suffering. From what I’ve read in various publications and discovered from other sources, many would have fared better in a third-world rathole than they do in our prisons. How can this be?

What I can say is those citizens now languishing in jails, without benefit of adequate legal counsel, if any legal counsel at all, often without proper medial care, or even decent food, all while being denied their constitutional right to a speedy trial, need a voice – our voice – as well as some financial help for themselves and their families.

What you can do right now is visit American Patriot Relief to learn more and/or donate. They are a non-profit organization so your donations are tax deductible. Their financial reports can be accessed under the About Us/Transparency submenu.

Visit them. Then get your cc out if you can spare a few bucks.

God bless,

Andy

Friday’s SCOTUS Ruling & the J6 Political Prisoners

On Friday, June 28, 2024, SCOTUS handed down a landmark Fischer v. United States, No. 23-5572 ruling overturning the DOJ’s use of 1512(c)(2), a statute pertaining to obstruction of an official proceeding, in cases related to the events of January 6th.

This ruling caused a great deal of stir, particularly among those who are aware of how this statute is being used against J6 defendants. Many applauded, breathing relief that the ordeal of the J6 Political Prisoners is over. They are mistaken. After talking to one insider, Helena Gibson, I learned this ruling will only affect about 11 J6 Political Prisoners. The other 330+ will still be stuck in the legal quagmire, many behind bars. Worse yet, since so many don’t understand this, some of the pressure applied by the concerns of citizens aware of their plight has found a relief valve. We cannot let this happen.

Indeed we need to pile on. Increase the pressure. Force the issues. Citizens in this nation are being held without benefit of their constitutional rights, often denied basic human rights. Death row inmates often receive better treatment no matter how heinous their crime.

Just for a moment, let us just suppose I am wrong. Let’s put one foot in fantasyland to imagine on July 4th no less, ALL J6 Political Prisoners are set free. Wonderful. They can all go home and what? What will they be facing? They haven’t worked in months or years so their jobs and/or businesses are likely gone. What are their prospects of finding a new job? What would yours be in this situation? I hope it would be no problem. We should all be so blessed. Chances are they will face a mountain of debt. I can tell you right now, many have had some or most of their families turn their back on them. For most, I’d say while they are now free and can possibly attempt to rebuild their lives, it will be a long, uphill road they face. While there may be a few exceptions, this would be the reality for most. Such is the best case scenario.

In short, they would need help just to start to pick up the pieces of their lives. What so many cannot or refuse to understand is they need help NOW. Help is in short supply. This needs to change.

In a few short days, I will launch an effort, a short but hopefully powerful effort that may help. Ideally it will change some lives for the better for them and for many of us as well. Please stay tuned. If you like, add a comment, even just a thumbs up or something to this post and I will repost it with an announcement.

God bless the J6ers, their families, those dedicated to helping them, and you for taking the time to listen.

Virginia’s Primary 2024 – The Stink of Corruption

Per my last post on this topic, I’d written off this primary, saying the outcome doesn’t matter, or rather what is really important is to hold whoever sits in the 5th Congressional Seat of Virginia accountable, as all citizens should endeavor for all representatives. Now this primary result DOES matter. What changed?

Allegations of Impropriety, i.e. the stink of corruption. THIS cannot stand.

It’s no secret I voted for Bob Good, I posted here the reasons why I intended to do so despite certain reservations. Today’s post should not be considered any sort of “sour grapes” on my part. I’d accepted the situation and moved on. The news of shenanigan both surprised and shocked me. I just  happened upon them doing other things and there it was.

Here is the story as released to the press by Peter Alexander

I don’t know who Peter Alexander or Chris Faraldi are. A quick search suggests both are politician types. both republicans. Alexander seems to be more conservative. The early into in the above letter suggests he and Faraldi do not see eye to eye on many issues. In fact, Alexander has little good to say about Faraldi.

Alexander is calling for a recount. I will go further than this. There needs to be a full investigation into these allegations with full intent to prosecute any alleged illegal actions. Simply saying “oops, my bad” and sliding past a potentially devious attempt to cheat cannot be tolerated.

As an election official I took an oath as did every other citizen participating as such. I swore to support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia and support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia

What good is an affirmation if there is no consequence for ignoring it?

Today, Monday, June 24, 2024 I’ll be hosing an X space event on this at 9AM. All are invited. You may speak if a slot becomes available.

Revisiting Virginia’s 2A Sanctuary Movement

In 2019, just before Covid hit the Commonwealth of Virginia experienced a remarkable phenomena – 91 out of 95 counties became Second Amendment Sanctuaries.

This movement was a direct result of democrats taking control of both legislative houses in Virginia with Ralph Northam, also a democrat residing as governor. Finally, the liberal left had the power to smack down the right of citizens to arm and defend themselves. It is only by a small miracle our rights were not even further infringed.

What Happened Then?

The democrats pounced on an opportunity, passing a smorgasbord of gun control laws – enough to send many of them into orgasmic eustasy. Shocked by their audacity, citizens in the commonwealth fought back as best we could. We descended on our county legislatures and demanded second amendment sanctuary resolutions be passed. All but a handful did just that. Some boards later tried to rescind the resolutions, openly admitting the fear they felt had they voted against the measure with the room packed with supporters.

Such is the power of the people when unleashed. It is awe inspiring.

The Aftermath

By December of 2019 the wave  had crested. Nearly every local legislature passed a second amendment sanctuary resolution. Then Covid came and the ensuing pandemic more or less stopped the momentum cold. Citizens could no longer mingle, much less gather to voice our support for our rights. It added a wet blanket to the 2020 election. Then the presidency was stolen, to say the least. Nobody can say for sure what effect all this had on the balance of power in Virginia but to date, the democrats continue to enjoy a slim majority in both houses. Meanwhile they are free to mock citizens rights, including our right to defend ourselves with the weapons of our choosing – in spite of the constitution guaranteeing our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

So Much for Awe Inspiring Power, Huh?

This is not the end of the discussion. The liberal left – the globalists, if you will, want us to think they have the last word. They do not. WE the People still hold all the cards. This is OUR nation. WE are the government. And you jerks have NOT heard the last from us.

Let’s take stock though, shall we?

In the past, right here in Virginia, elections have been called minutes after the polls closed. To me, this suggests not political savvy but shenanigans. It says “the fix is in, sucker”. Granted, the democrats have iron strongholds in Virginia’s population centers giving them a hard edge in statewide elections and a strong advantage in other races. Even so there are more eligible citizens in Virginia who did not vote than cast votes for either party. Put another way, if every citizen who did not vote in the 2020 election voted for, say, a third candidate, that third candidate would have one hands down!

My point here is not that we citizens should rally around a “none of the above” candidate but rather there are enough untapped voters to sway the entire state to the cause of liberty. And quite bluntly, I say given a choice between liberty and tyranny – liberty wins out every time – no matter what party you claim.

This is What Take America Back! is All About

It’s not enough to protest. If you ask me, protesting should be beneath us – WE are the authority in this nation. It’s not enough to vote. I’ve voted in nearly every election and definitely every major election since I was of age to do so. My vote is usually lost in a sea of others, but this is the way things are supposed to work! It’s not my vote or your vote that matters as much as OUR VOTES. Beyond that is accountability, but we cannot effectively hold our representatives accountable if we refuse to hold the “scepter” of power – our vote – and wield it when necessary.

Furthermore, even representatives already in office will bend to the will of the people when they come face to face with us en masse. Sure, those citizens who showed up to support the second amendment sanctuary resolutions were just a tiny fraction of the voting citizen body but those office holder knew deep down what most of us never consider: that tiny fraction taking action is usually just the tip of a very large iceburg. In other words, for every citizen who takes the time to show up, there are many more who simply didn’t make the trek.

The globalist’s have taken advantage of this for decades. They rally rather small numbers to protest or support one cause or another while counting on on having little or no opposition. Thus they’ve been able to sway many a vote in their favor by simply showing up! No more.

We need to outnumber them at every turn. We need to strip the layers of talking points off the issues to get to the core of the each question. Often we can do this by asking simply – do you want liberty or tyranny? Most issues boil down to those two options. Try it and see for yourself.

It’s NOT Enough!

As the Virginia legislature has proven, it is not enough to just vote. It is not even enough to show up to voice our wishes on this issue or that. What we need is control and for this we need enough citizens opting for liberty to vote for candidates who support liberty.

Intimidation By the Numbers

It sounds scary and it needs to scare the bejeebers out of those who want to represent us. Our “threat” is not harmful to anything other than a representative’s privilege to serve, but that threat needs to be real. Each representative needs to be put on notice to support liberty or find another job. Coming from me or any one of you, such talk can, and often is, laughed off – as it should be.

When we can agree on certain principles and act in concert, our power is limited only by the law of the land, our constitution, and even that is subject to modification if we can garner enough support.

Moving Forward

If we want, really want, to take back our nation. If we want liberty instead of tyranny then our path is clear – we need to vote and bring as many voters with us as we can. We need to amass enough citizens, not only to win but to claim a devastating, decisive victory. We must hand our representatives a clear mandate. We want liberty.

What about you? Do YOU choose liberty? Or are you willing to kneel down to serve tyrants? The choice is yours but you need to choose now. Make no mistake: to abstain is to opt for tyranny because you are allowing the tyrants to choose for  you.

Take action. Choose your weapon.

Primary 2024 – We Lost, and Why It Doesn’t Matter in the End

By “We” I’m talking about WE the People more than “our” side. Yes, I as much as endorsed Bob Good over John McGuire and McGuire squeezed out a slim victory – less than 400 votes decided the outcome. For the record, my vote has yet to be counted, as if that would tip the scales.

The fact is, this primary was decided by a scant number of voters. In my district, only 61 citizens bothered to show up. This includes both democrats and republicans. Over the entire congressional district representing nearly 750,000 citizens, only a relative handful, 62,495 voters (not including absentee ballots like my own) decided who would represent us in the United States House of Representatives. Pitiful.

“apathy will get us nowhere, as if you cared”

Like I said, WE the People lost and lost big time. Let’s face facts – apathy will get us nowhere, as if you cared. The reality is apathy will get us what we deserve – an elite cadre of masters ruling us with an iron fist. They’ll have to kill me first and, if it comes to that, they likely will without blinking an eye. I mean it when I say, I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

Still don’t care? Bite me.

Message to Bob – you would have been far better off had you done a few things differently.

While in office you should have been more responsive to your constituents. You can whine all you want about those you did respond to but I’m sure there are plenty more like me out there who never heard from you or your staff. To that end you earned your loss. For myself, it is hard to get excited about somebody who is apathetic about those he is elected to serve.

On the campaign trail? Your time would have been better spent getting out the vote. And by this I mean not just rallying those in your party but actively seeking more citizen participation in this primary. In other words, registering new voters as well as wooing current ones.

An More Poignant Lesson for ALL Citizens

My own confession first – I cannot say this enough. McGuire’s challenge to Bob Good was a total surprise. McGuire presents himself as a strong conservative. Bob Good is a strong conservative. My own comparison suggests Bob Good’s ideals more closely align with my own. Then again, I cannot help thinking McGuire is a total phony – a RINO. That said, here is the hurtful truth

I cannot defend Bob Good’s record because I don’t KNOW Bob Good’s record.

Setting aside his shortcomings on the J6 political prisoner issue, I know of some of Good’s votes on some of the more newsworthy issues, but for the day to day stuff or what else he did, I cannot tell because I just don’t know. Shame on me.

He was endorsed by some in politics I respect but to be fair, I only know of their very public profiles as well. Rand Paul, for instance. From time to time, I read some tidbit or another causing me to question some of his positions, but overall he tends to be one of the few who stands out among the general republican population. For example he made the strongest stand against the whole NObamacare repackaging – that’s all I can call it – it’s still there and never came close to actually being repealed as it should have. All said, I can’t tell you where he stands a most issues. Would he surprise me? I don’t know.

Nor do I know how Nick Freitas votes on most issues. From what I do know and from my short conversation with him, I suspect he is one of the few real deals holding public office. Then again, he has yet to respond to me otherwise. I was really hoping he would at least support the Take America Back concept but he’s offered not so much as a “like”. Mr. Freitas, if you happen to come across this, please, even if you hate the idea, saying something is better than silence.

Why The Results of This Primary Doesn’t Matter One Whit

After all that, the irony becomes clear. It doesn’t freaking matter whether Good or McGuire won the primary. In fact, it is almost certain John McGuire will represent the 5th Virginia Congressional District next year. We are that RED here. What DOES matter? In a word…

Accountability.

McGuire may indeed be fully RINO but he is a RINO in a red district. He is accountable to his constituents – all of us really but as a whole we are a pretty conservative group.

“WE the People need to find our voice and speak it loud and clear.”

What matters is WE the People need to find our voice and speak it loud and clear. We need to hold all of our representatives accountable and keep their feet to the fire.

We can no longer just check the box saying “I voted” and move on. That’s not working. We all know it.

Again, the first order of business for all of us is to get off our apathetic asses. Those who are registered need to vote. Always. Those citizens who haven’t even bothered to register, need to register AND vote. That’s for starters. Believe it or now a huge turnout for the November election will make a massive difference. It will. Prove me wrong. I dare you.

IF we can produce the numbers, the fallout will be visible. The roaches will scramble out of the woodwork. They’ll rally and try to present a brave front, even take credit – patting themselves on the back for “their” success. Many in the media will be flabbergasted. Stumped. They’ll twisted themselves into pretzels trying to explain away this “phenomena”. How do I know this? I’ve seen it before and so have you – in 2016 – when Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States. It can happen again. This time we need our collective finger to be bigger, bolder and very, very RED.

With this momentum, we begin to drain the swamp for real. It won’t happen overnight. The swamp rats are pervasive. They are determined. They will fight us tooth and nail. Bet on it. They are also outnumbered. Here’s a secret:

Many, MANY ‘democrats” are with us. They want the same things we want. Some, a handful maybe, know it too. Most do not. They are far too wrapped up in the political propaganda, but somewhere, deep down they know it too. The good news is we don’t need to win them all. We only need a few. We’ll lose a few ostensibly on “our side” along the way because they simply cannot abide true liberty, and this is what it’s all about in the end. Liberty.

“the choice needs to be made clear. Liberty or servitude.”

I’m convinced far more American citizens will opt for liberty when it is all said and done, but the choice needs to be made clear. Liberty or servitude.

We can do this. We can Take America Back! It’s time.
